1st Thanksgiving

Blake missed Thanksgiving last year by 5 days so this year was his first Thanksgiving celebration.  We had Boo & Papa up for the week and Granny & Marcus, Uncle Tyler, Aunt Jenny, Brady & Claire came over for a Thanksgiving lunch.

Blake is ready to eat and boy did he eat.  He loved the mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, Great Grandma Purvis' dressing, and Aunt Jenny's banana pudding

One of Blake's first words was "cat" and now pretty much everything is a "cat", even Sugar is a "cat".  Papa & Boo took Blake to his first trip to the aquarium and they said everything he pointed at was a "cat".  From the pictures they took I can tell Blake had a great time with his grandparents.  We can't wait to take him back!

11 months old

running behind again...imagine that.  I really can't believe you are already a year old and such a big boy!  Time is really flying by...here is what all you were up to at 11 months.

• weight at 11 months ~ 21 lbs, weight at 11 1/2 months 21 lbs 6 oz
• you are into EVERYTHING...not sure what we are going to do about a Christmas tree this year?
• celebrated your 1st Thanksgiving with Boo, Papa, Granny, Marcus, Uncle Tyler, Aunt Jenny, Brady & Claire at our house.  
• you like to say "uh oh" and you say "cat" and "tat" a lot.  you also like to tell Sugar to "hush" when she barks
• Papa & Boo took you to your first trip to the Chattanooga Aquarium.  They said you really enjoyed it and that everything was a "cat"
• got your 1st real boo-boo falling on a bookshelf at daycare (on the bridge of your nose, right between your eyes).  Luckily it healed quickly and no black eyes.  
• you are really starting to dance when you hear music and sometimes you clap your hands too

10 months old

the closer and closer to your first birthday the quicker time is flying by.  Here is what all you were up to at 10 months

• weight at 10 months ~ 20 lbs 2 oz, weight at 10 1/2 months ~ 20 lbs 8 oz
• you are WALKING
• bought your first pair of tennis shoes ~ size 4 wide
• you love to go outside.  dada will pick you up and you point to the door to go outside.  
• you are cutting 2 more teeth on the bottom ~ # 9 & 10
• you love to play patty cake & peek-a-boo
• you can say "cat"

Last weekend we went to Sims Farm for a little fall fun.  They have a corn maze, hayrides, bounce house, and other activities for the kiddos.  I know in the years to come Blake will really enjoy everything they have to offer, but for now I get to dress him up and take lots of pictures of my cutie!

9 months old

so what's new?  
I am running way behind on updating the blog, but I have a good reason...one very active 10 month old!


so this is what all you have been up to at 9 months old

• at your 9 month check up ~19 lbs 5 oz, 27.5 inches  
• you still have an ear infection and are on your third antibiotic 
• you are all over the place.  pulling up and walking along the furniture.
• you can stand by yourself and you are getting better and better with your balance
• you have taken a few steps but are not quite ready to walk just yet
• made a trip to Hilton Head {with just mommy} to visit Gram & Grandpa  
• weight at 9 1/2 months ~ 20 lbs
• I think you have pretty much given up on baby food
• these 'month' pictures are pretty much impossible to take anymore, definitely a 2 man job

The other week Blake and I made a trip to Bluffton to visit Gram & Grandpa {Boo & Papa ~ named by Griffin} for a few days.  We met my parents half way in Macon on the way down which was nice, but made the trip home solo which was not so nice.  Blake enjoyed his time being spoiled and playing with all of the toys Gram & Grandpa have for the boys.  Here are just a few pictures from our long weekend

for some reason Blake has a huge interest in looking under rugs and would crawl from one side of the rug to the other looking under it.  He made sure to check out all of Gram's rugs
