started eating oatmeal in the mornings and rice cereal in the evenings. introduced baby food at 5 1/2 months {peas, squash & carrots}
you rolled over from your back to your tummy {twice so far}
you can sit up really well now. you love to sit and play with your toys {specifically your bug rattles and the stacking plastic rings}
we got out the jumperoo and you seem to love it! you started out just moving side to side in it, but now you are really jumping up and down. you still love your activity gym and exersaucer {our den has been taken over with baby toys}
you have started laughing more and more {video to come soon}
We look forward to what is next for you, Blake. We love watching you grow and learn every day!
We have started with baby food and so far...not so good. Blake does not seem to like sweet peas {don't blame him}. The squash he ate. I was not sure he liked it too much at first, but each time I have fed it to him he seems to like it more and more. Maybe we will give the peas another chance? We will go with veggies for a little while longer and then introduce some fruits.
I had a nice little Mother's Day with my boys (& Sugar too). We spent the morning at home playing then met Jake's family at the Dalton Country Club for lunch. It was a beautiful day so we had to get some pictures of me and my little boy for my first Mother's Day.
Over the past few days Blake has become become better and better with sitting up on on his own. He is so cute trying to play with his toys, grasping and reaching for them. This also means mommy has some more photo options rather than laying him down or propping him up on the couch. On Saturday I took Blake outside and had a little photo shoot. Such a little cutie and a happy boy. Look close...in some of the pictures you can see his bottom 2 teeth!
I wanted to try and get some pictures of Blake on his belly holding his head and chest up, instead this he what he gave me
Then I was able to get a rolling over shot
...more pictures, different background
Sugar came over to check out what we were doing
Love my baby's rolls
and a little video of Blake from this morning playing with his toys
My how you have changed...you are getting so big and doing so many new things these days. I keep telling your dad before we know it you will be going off to college. We had your 4 month check up on March 31st and you took your shots like a CHAMP! You only let out one big cry after the second shot and then calmed down once mommy was holding you. Here are your 4 month stats from the doctors office
weight 15 lbs 11 oz ~ 69th percentile
height 25 inches ~ 63rd percentile
Here is what you have been up to lately
rolling over from your tummy to your back all the time now
eating rice cereal
eating your feet :) you love to try and get your feet in your mouth and then you suck on your toes.
you can sit up unassisted for a little while, but then you fall over. we are working on those stomach muscles
you suck your thumb {just like mommy did}. usually it is your left thumb, so you might be a lefty like your daddy?
and the BIG news...you got your bottom two teeth {April 12}. this I just cannot get over...my baby has teeth.
weights taken at home ~16 lbs @ 18 weeks, 16 lbs 6 oz @ 20 weeks
